Synesthesia (sĭn'ĭs-thē'zhə). From the Ancient Greek. Literally meaning "joining the senses", Synesthesia is a condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another; like when you hear sound and see a colour.

Avoision has used Flickr’s search functionality to populate the lyrics of a song. As Dan Frick sings the lyrics to his song “Astronaut” an application randomly brings forward images from the image bank that are tagged with that word. The effect is different every time, but always profound and mesmerising. It’s a pretty good song too.
